Dan's impression of Lily and Blair would definitely improve over the pages... I just think that neither Blair or Lily will have it in them to finish the book. It'll probably be one of the major conflict points of the whole Dair storyline this season.

Serena on the other hand, will probably start off being painted as a goddess..but then as Dan got to know her better, what he saw changed obviously.

At least, that's my guess.

since Vanessa said "there's someone will like the way she's painted, and I'm not talking about Serena" I think the only choice that would make sense is Blair. after all, Dan even admitted a few episodes earlier that "the person he wanted was Blair Waldorf" <3

Apparently she's portrayed as a goddess or something, and we all know how much Blair loves compliments.

However, she probably won't appreciate the portrayal of her best friend and love of her life.

Well the "love of her life" is an abusive ass..so...

Of course it is about Blair. If Vanessa was talking about herself she wouldn't say those words. Because she already read it!

I think the book will make a huge impact for Dan & Blair. She will love how she is painted and will find out about Dans feelings for her. First she scared of it, but she will still hang out with him because he is her friend and she will slowly fall for him :)

You really think that Blair is gonna like the way she is portrayed? Dan, and i mean the good Dan in season one said that Blair Waldorf is everything he hates on the Upper East Side. Maybe she likes it towards the end but other than that, no way.

Serena is a no. First because of the Vanessa quote and then because of the fact that Dan said that he practically only used Serena to get into the upper east side.

As for the comment above me, if Blair finds out, which she will, that Dan only used Serena for his personal interests, do you really think she'll fall for him? And why in the name of God, would Blair be afraid of Humphrey liking her? Just please don't get me started on the "meant to be crap"

I'm pretty sure the new set photos of Penn and Leighton are the argument about the book.

reddooralways I'm from Sweden, so english is my second languages.... I meant that she don't know what she will do with the news about Dan's feelings for her -.- And I don't think he used Serena to get into UES in season 1. He really loved her, and I think that Blair was very intersting to Dan right from the beginning, but he wouldn't admit it and wrote about her intead. I think the whole book is about Blair and it has only great things to say about her.

apparently B was the only person that was painted in a good light in the novel. :) and Lannieluv7 agree! the "love of her life" is a sefish, self absorbed ass, i'm hoping the book will help her see that!

Yeah. I think at the beggining she will be described like popular and manipulative bitch, but it will change during the book. Finally, she will be portrayed like a good person,a good friend, a person with too much problems, insecure and scary. A goddess.
He will describe her like he was in love with her. Showing finally his feelings.

And that will make her feel insecure about the wedding, about if Chuck really is the love of her life...
Then the three, will have something she wants: complicated but big love, fairytale love , or easy, nice and fresh best friend's love.

Yeah, LaiaMaria pretty much said it all. I think the book will describe/explain what we saw happening throughout the seasons, ie how his feelings towards her went from "OMG I HATE HER SHE'S SUCH A PACKAGE OF GIRLY EVIL" to "she's not that bad", to "she deserves to be happy" to "SHE'S INTELLIGENT AND INTUITIVE AND SHE SMELLS NICEEEEEE" ... Or at least I hope so! And I hope it leads to something between Dan and Blair. I just really love the idea of them. I don't think they are "meant to be" though. Nor do I think Chuck and Blair are, tbh.

But I what I really don't want is to learn that Dan used Serena to climb the social ladder. My Derena shipper heart would like to believe his feelings were genuine from the beginning...
