Hyenas are dogs; I've heard this said so many times and it's really starting to annoy me now. I suppose if they don't know much about them perhaps it's understandable, but some people classify them as felines too...in actual fact, they're not related to any of them. They belong to their own family, Hyenidae. If anything, they're more related to meerkats and mongooses to cats or dogs. Compare the meerkat dot com, compare the hyena dot com. Simples.
