Evangeline: I also see her bond with Jack is actually stronger than the bond with Aaron, even though it doesn`t appear to be that way right now. I feel watching Jack deteriorate and reach his low - pushing her away and then her pushing him away - I like that will bring her to her knees. It will be her bond with Jack.

Evangeline: She`s trying to pull away from Sawyer because she recognizes that she loves Jack. I think I spent that walk back thinking that I have to push Sawyer away. I have to. It`s not fair ro him or me or Jack, because I feel too much for Jack to allow this 'thing' with Sawyer to keep going.

Evangeline: So no matter what she is doing with Sawyer, I think Jack still holds the role as the man in her life, even if she is resigned that it will never happen.

I think she loved both

She probably loved both of them . . . but not equally. I think she loved Jack a lot more than Sawyer. She had a bad habit of using Sawyer as an emotional crutch, whenever she thought that her relationship with Jack was in jeopardy. I can recall a scene from early Season 3 in which after sleeping with Sawyer in a previous episode, she was talking with Jack over a walkie-talkie and was practically in tears over the idea of leaving him behind. Sawyer was observing her . . . and I began to wonder if he suspected that she loved Jack more.

I always found it odd that she was supposed to take Aaron as an emotional crutch over Sawyer jumping from the helicopter. Yet, after the end of her engagement with Jack, she had a photograph of him, her and Aaron on her living room mantlepiece. At least I think so. I could be wrong. She slept with Sawyer during late Season 3, while harboring jealousy over Jack's friendship with Juliet. She was more concerned about Jack, immediately after the detonation of Jughead. Then she thought of Sawyer and Juliet. And after she, Hurley, Jack and Sawyer had had survived the destruction of Widmore's submarine, she was frantic about Jack, completely ignoring an unconscious Sawyer.

Kate had feelings for Sawyer. I don't doubt that. But I believe that she simply loved Jack more.
