Park Hyung Sik Speaks Up on Rumors That He Is a Chaebol

Park Hyung Sik, who plays a second-generation chaebol in the drama “High Society,” has previously been met with the rumor that he is actually a chaebol in real life.

ZE:A members Park Hyung Sik and Hwang Kwanghee made an appearance in a variety show some time ago to put an end to this rumor.

On this show, Kwanghee started out by saying, “We’d like to explain the rumor that Hyung Sik’s father is a high-ranking official in the German car company ‘B.’” He continued, “We have seen many stories online about Hyung Sik. Some of them said that he brags about his money, or that he joined ZE:A because of his connections.”

Park Hyung Sik said, “Even though people seem to think that I’m the son of a chaebol, it’s way too exaggerated.” But the rumors seem to have some credibility, because Kwanghee continued, “While we were poor trainees, I glanced at Park Hyung Sik’s bank statement, and he had about $16,000,” shocking the audience.

Park Hyung Sik said, “It was sebaedon (money given by elders to children on New Year’s Day), and my mother saved it up for me. When she gave it to me when I became 20, it was quite a bit.”
