Proffessor gerald was working on a new progect. "Grandfather, were is Shadow?" The proffesor turned around. "I Don't know. I think he's training," "thank you grandfather." She started to walk away. "Maria, do you always have to play with Shadow? Come here." Maria walked to the proffessor.
IN SHADOW'S ROOM.
"Maria, you should have been here by now." Footsteps came closer. Shadow heard a faint knock. "Come in." It was maria. "hi Shadow" her smile was as ussual. Shadow never wanted her to stop. "Were have you been?"
Maria looked up. "Grandfather is making a suprize." Shadow chucled. "Well what is it?" Maria looked down at Shadow. "It's a suprize silly." Shadow knew she wasn't gonna spill it. "Well at least arrive sooner." He huged mria and kissed her on the cheek. Maria laughed. "I Will" She kissed him on the lips.

OF Course sonic stood up knowing it was shadow down there. I mean, who else would be up at this time of night. GOD it was hard to live with shadow and vector. He still could remember the agreement to live with them. Sonic walked downstairs, assuming shadow was fiddiling around with the tv, but paused at the sight of a tear forming in shadow's eye.
"Shadow couldnt be..."
Sonic decided to hang back for a minuete.
Shadow hated to see maria cry, supressing his own tears, he tried to focus on the fact that maria was here now.
But he couldn't.
All he wanted to do was to cry, just as he had for all theese years now, but now more than ever.
He managed to force up a simple, "Maria, don't cry."
It wasn't any use holding back anymore. For the first time in 56 years, a tear steaked across shadow's face.

"Maria....." Shadow always hated today. The day Maria died. Shadow alone got all of the sonic team felling like crap. Sonic was lying on the couch. From behind Tails turened on the tv. A news flash was on.

Shadow was getting ready for bed. Suddenly he heard a noise. He rushed downstairs. "Hello?" No answer.
He looked in the kitchen to find a blonde girl. She turened around."SHADOW!!!" She ran twords shadow. Shadow's eyeys lit up with joy. th tried to hug' but passed throgh each other.

Sonic couldn't just stand there. He had to tell Shadow about the ritual! Sonic stepped into the kitchen. Shadow looked up, not even dignifying himself enough to wipe away his tears, and said, "what do YOU want?" Sonic had, at this point, completley ignored the fact that Shadow had made himself out to be such a cold-hearted guy, and yet here he was, crying his eyes out. Sonic would normally point something like that out, but he didn't; he knew how much Maria ment to Shadow. Sonic heard the whole story from Knuckles.
"Shadow, there IS a reason I even decided to show my face." Sonic looked at Maria....

Dear journal,
I know it's silly for man to have a journal but who cares? My name is shadow the hedgehog. I'm starting a journal because maria always said that it's great for expressing your feelings and people say I have trouble with that. Maria... She.was.my best friend. My only friend. Then those humans... Took her away... And I was sent to earth... Seprated from... Maria. Some times I wish I could be with her. But sonic said that couldn't happen. I don't believe him. I can't trust anybody. I know that I'll see her again. Someday...

Piano ... Who was waiting for someone to contact with the melody and the chords around.
Shadow pressed his hand to playing a little tune.
He was actually practiced the piano at only 2 months and played like a champ ...
But lied about it all himself.

In his opinion, "he did not play" ... They were the hands, who told him the melody.
The call was confirmed and stronger and it started already sounds like music.
He sat down.

For a moment, he still noticed how he was surrounded by sheet music, with each click, and every sense of what the music was.

Shadow was getting ready for bed. He haistily scoweled at the noises Sonic made in the next room running. When he finnaly stoped, shadow heard a noise in the kitchen downstairs. First frightened, he stood in his room for a few minuets. Then he went downstairs with much anger assuming it was a burgurlry. he zoomed downstairs. "ALRIGHT WHOS-" he came to find a teenage girl standing in the opposite direction.
"hey, dont you have to get home to your family???" He stoped in his tracks when he saw a blue dress and blonde hair. " oh why does she HAVE to be just like...maria....." he said to himself...
