This was an also an ambitious project. A large dam had recently been built to hold back the sea, and there were many houses and buildings to construct among the island's green hills. Despite an occasional setback along the way, Jane was as successful here as she had been before. She even had an especially fine road built all along the shoreline, with a lamplit bridge across the river. And near to it, a big hotel, with pretty little balconies overlooking the beautiful sea. The island was so very lovely, she decided to stay at the hotel, for awhile. At night, when the sun sets, and the lighthouse begins to warn the ships away from the dangerous part of the shore, she gazes out with great happiness upon the glorious view..... and imagines what her next project will be.

The ski resort turned out to be a big success for her as well. When she had finished, there were houses for residents, and cabins and accomodations for visiting skiiers, new ski lifts, and a beautiful ski center. And though Jane was very busy, she still had some time to learn to ski on the resort's well-groomed slopes. The towering, snow-covered mountains surrounding the resort were breathtaking to view. It, too, was a really lovely place. Still, when it was flourishing, she decided she might like to go someplace a little bit less snowy and cold. Upon receiving an offer to build a brand-new seaside town on a tropical island, she gladly accepted.
When the town was again thriving, with freshly painted and occupied homes and buildings, sidewalks and parks where people could safely stroll, a lovely new town hall, newly paved roads, and a brand new railway system, Jane received a visit via the new train from a very dear friend, someone who had always believed in her. "Jane," he asked; "You have done such good work rebuilding this town. Do you think you could help me with my new ski resort? It is not in such bad shape as this town was but the cottages do need to be repaired, and we need some new buildings." A ski resort? Well, Jane thought she would try.
Jane smiled fondly at Benjamin as he skied down the slope, making an absolute fool of himself. The skiing trip had already gone on for two months, and Jane had an inkling that Ben meant to propose to her at the end of it. She stared at the mountains and daydreamed.
Ben snuck up behind her and startled her, Jane whacked him playfully.
“You looked like a rhinoceros going down that slope” Jane said, laughing.
“Fine you have a go then, what will you be? A fairy princess?” Ben teased.
“Whatever I’ll be I’ll be better then you were” Jane retorted, offended, and skied down the slope, looking like she was dancing rather than skiing.
Ben put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a little velvet box. He would ask her tonight he decided, for the fourth night in a row. He opened the box and a gleam of light caught the diamond ring inside, sending sparkles everywhere. It really had been a perfect vacation.
